Since the guy was hiding. The article doesn’t mention any threatening moves. Should the mom have held him at gunpoint and called 911? I wish they’d give more details in these news reports. ---

I guess it depends on the laws of whatever state, and of course the individual situation. All states allow self defense including lethal self defense if necessary to defend your life or the life of another. The media has done a good job ignoring this story, given that it happened several days ago, even while sit-ins and other protests are being held by gun control advocates in the wake of the similar FL event. The mainstream media doesn’t want to report events like this, so they don’t. I read about this event on an alternative media outlet, but haven’t heard a peep from mainstream sources. ---

Other than attempting robbery. His actions were clearly unlawful. Do you wait until the suspect injures or kills someone before deciding to stop him? ---
