When I was younger, I got both ears pierced, then the right one done a second time (I wanted two in both, but my left ear gets irritated REALLY easily). Let those grow shut.
First professional piercing I got was my navel, X-mas present from my dad when I was 15.
Got my tongue pierced in HS, Mom made me take it out.
After I moved out:
14g nipples,
14g tongue,
14g lip (or labret - I’m still not sure of the difference),
16g right nostril,
10g ear lobes (stretched up to 0g via tapers and Vitamin E as lube, wear flesh tunnels with original 10g CBRs going through them. Apparently that’s a rare thing down here, since I get tons of compliments on them, but I just picked it up from the punks in MI.)
So, 8 total. 4 tats.
Most painful: Earlobes - 10g is frikkin HUGE.
Least painful: Nipples, oddly enough. Lip and navel tie for 2nd.
Nastiest aftermath: Navel. My pants pushed on them all the time, and since I had a hoop in, it got shoved around a lot. Took a good 6 months to heal, during which it hurt a decent amount, but it still gets tender at times.
Easiest to care for: Nostril. It hurt to get pierced, but the pain went away in a few hours, and it never got tender as long as I kept it clean. But I did bleed the first time I tried to take the nostril screw out.
I want three surfaces down the back of my neck, but I Is Poor, plus it would interfere with my big tattoo plan.
I’ve though about getting industrials and traguses, but I dunno.

I now have 9 piercings
three each ear lobe
one helix, left ear (one of my favorites)
both nipples
I had my belly button done but it rejected. It was cute but a pain the whole damn time I had it (about a year). It was always tender and on the verge of infected even though I took excellent care of it and never had a problem with other piercings.
Although I’m unhappy my navel didn’t work out I still don’t regret it.

1. Think about where straps from backpacks/courier bags cross your chest.
2. Get used to the idea of a long healing
3. Get them done one at a time. You really can’t let anybody play with/suck on your nipple while the piercing is healing.
4. If you’re hetero and think getting the piercing would be hot, find a female piercer.
5. Unless you’re into pain, be prepared to cry like a little girl.
I’m at 0 gauge in my left earlobe with one other piercing, about a 10 maybe.
Two piercings in my right ear cartilage, maybe 8 gauge.
Both nipples, 18 gauge.
Strike brand on my back.
Scarification on my left hip.
And no, I’m not into pain.
