[/quote] Looks like they’re supporting the Sunni “moderates” in the hope that the Wahhabists don’t take control of Sunni Iraq. You know what the consequences of \*that \* would be for the House of Saud. Maybe someday Chalabi’s full role in inducing the gullible Bush into doing what Iran wanted will be known. But it doesn’t matter anymore in practical terms. ---

Y’know, I would like to _think_ Bush is playing bad cop. (“Better do what he says, Iran. He’s _crazy_! _We_ can’t control him!”) But then again, I thought that’s what he was doing before he invaded Iraq. ---
