Possible Real ID problem?

Amazing!

Huzzah!

Oh wow! That’s terrific. It’s still a slog, but now you have a path to getting ID to fly. Congrats!

I think you’re still going to need to find someone to swear or affirm that that’s you.

YAY!!!

 :tada: :clinking_glasses:

Great news!

Woot! Any idea if it was Oregon Constituent Services that helped get this done? Might want to thank them in any case…

Brain

All I know is that it came back in the original self-addressed stamped envelope My Beloved sent them back in April, so I guess they found what they told me they never found in the records.

Awesome news! Hopefully everything else is smooth sailing, now that you can follow the assumed normal process. Congrats!

Woohoo!

It finally got to the hands of that one office down in the bowels of the bureaucracy who actually knows where things are and how to get them after bouncing around various inboxes. For all we know the folks at the front office may still not know that employee got it done! But at last THIS part is done, now for the next level of Purgatory…

Yaay!!!11!1!

Convincing the person at the DMV that Guam is part of the United States…

Nope, it will be convincing them that I am the person mentioned on the birth certificate, even though the last name doesn’t match.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that part. THEN you can work on convincing them that you are an American citizen and not one of those Guameranians.

Oh, contrare! If they claim that I am Guameranian and not U.S.A.ian, I get a free trip to Guam out of the deal!

Hope it doesn’t take as long as the birth certificate.

Congratulations!

Great news! Have you decided what you’ll need to do to fix the last name issue?

Nope. I’ll see where they want to go from here.

Good luck. I do think it may be easier to start with a passport.

It seems that my proof of citizenship is necessary for the passport, and if that turns out to be my birth certificate…same name problem. We’ll see.
