There are [designated smoking areas](http://www.allears.net/dlr/tp/smoking.htm) at Disneyland. Medical marijuana is legal in California. Does Disneyland park security eject guests for smoking MJ? ---

I grew up near Disneyland and have been acquainted with many of their employees. In order to keep the happiest place on Earth happy they keep tight security to prevent any behavior that would interfere with the wholesome family atmosphere. Regardless of the state laws, on the private property that is Disneyland you would be quickly escorted out of the park for smoking it. And if you are considering smoking it on the sly then I wouldnt recommend it. Disneyland has cameras and viewports all over the park and on all the rides. No matter where you are you are always being watched. ---

A couple of years after it opened it was possible to light up a doobie at DisneyWorld in Orlando. I’m not telling the details of how I know that. ---

There’s not really any reason to smoke it in the park because dispensaries also sell baked goods, pills and candies, etc. A [mouth spray](http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/22/sativex-pot-prescription-drug_n_1222055.html) made in the UK is already approved in Canada and Europe and has an application in with the FDA. (Not bloody likely mates, but it is a proof of concept that state licensed dispensaries might copy). Despite these options being available, where there is an unmet demand I guess someone will always be along with a supply. Similar to others, I have it on very good authority that it was possible about 20 years ago on “Grad Night” at Disney World. ---

And according to a former colleague, it is also possible to take a slurpee cup full of mushroom tea into Disney World and have a really really really different experience to most of the other visitors. ---

So I’m told _– wink, wink –_ you can get away with it if you’re careful. You need one of those one-hitters that look like a cigarette (gosh, do those even exist, I just don’t know) and a secluded section at the far end of the smoking section. And it doesn’t hurt to have a look out. But then, that’s just all conjecture. As far as you know. ---

Hell, I’ll own up directly. Circa 1980; the ride sponsored by Monsanto “Journey into Inner Space,” (Numerous times. If I recall correctly it was a “C” ticket and my buddy had a stack of them.) The aerial tram ride across the park (Passed a roach to one of the employees in exchange for a round trip ride. This was after he made the comment that it sure smelled like a good ride.) and a couple of times in the Haunted Mansion all on one visit to Disneyland. It sure made the wait in line for the bigger rides a lot more interesting. I rather doubt anyone can get it away with it so blatantly these days and I wouldn’t bother. However, some consumables might just turn some of the rides back into an “E” ticket\* experience. \*Kids ask your parents. Oh man I’m getting old. ---

I’ve always wondered how much the Disney experience would be amplified by cannabis. From what I’ve read, edibles: a) Take about an hour and a half to kick in (as opposed to ~10 minutes via inhaling); b) Last a few hours (as opposed to ~1 hour via inhaling); c) Produce a “body high” as opposed to a “mind high.” This means that snacking an edible before a Disney park visit would require some advanced planning, and may not produce the same reaction that one would experience from a good burn. Thoughts? ---

Eat (or drink as a tincture) a few times for “practice”. I’ve had friends find ingestion overwhelming, like a bad acid experience. When smoked, you can stop and plateau easily. With ingestion you can find yourself still climbing when you’d rather stop. I’ve heard. ---
