I always enjoy that you post links that even engineers are capable of reading. So given that (and having read two out of three of the links), isn’t the GPS still covered under the first sale doctrine?

Obviously, you’d inform your insurance company about this before proceeding, right?

They don’t know I even have a GPS to begin with, they don’t give me a discount for an in-motion disable feature, so why would I tell them?

I have done a little more searching on this and the only solutions I have found involve modifying the wiring, which I’m not going to do. I was hoping there was some sort of soft Easter egg hack, like the old flight-simulator-in-Excel trick. More news as it happens.
