# Post #1000!    A Minor Milestone Mebbe?

OK, more mundane & pointless than milestone-ish. It’s taken 2 years and 7 months to get to 1000, average of 1.03 posts/day. Haven’t been overly verbose at any rate. Looking back over the lot, there are a few that make me think “Egads, did I actually say _that_?”

Anyhow, thanks Straight Dope(ers) for providing a forum that is both endlessly entertaining and enlightening. Thanks for taking me seriously but not too seriously, and for not coming down to hard when I said something dumb:o  
And, well… I’ll try to find some more interesting subject matter for #1001…

Nice job…and while we’re happy you’ve put in that many posts here, these type of topics [aren’t allowed](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=9505194&postcount=4) as they fall under “Post count party/padding threads”, so I’m going to close it.
