The thread title pretty much covers what I hope this thread will be. Post a link to something that you think is beautiful. It can be a painting, a video clip, a piece of music, a poem–that doesn’t matter. What matters is that it gets an appreciative aesthetic and emotional response from you; what matters is that you think it’s beautiful. This is not the place for porn, please, nor for pictures of hot people for the sake of their hotness. That doesn’t mean there can’t be pretty people in a video clip; it means that there needs to be something more than Kat Denning’s boobs or Natalie Portman’s face to make your link beautiful. This is also not the place for arguing about the choices of the posters above you. Of course I am not the boss of any of you–but really, wouldn’t it be nice to just SHARE stuff rather than fight over it? (ducks the radioactive bees, gets hit by the Discombobulation Ray) More seriously, I present [The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone](https://www.google.com/search?q=yellowstone+canyon&biw=1276&bih=809&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=fcnHVOrjBpOAgwTC6YHwAQ&sqi=2&ved=0CDAQsAQ&dpr=0.8). It’s much more impressive in person, of course (everyone should visit Yellowstone at least once in a lifetime), but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bad picture of it. It’s also much more impressive than that other Grand Canyon, because it’s of a scale that’s (just barely) comprehensible: The other Grand Canyon is just a big cliff, and then miles away there’s another cliff, and you can’t take it all in. I would also put in a link to Glacier National Park, but while it’s just as impressive, if not more so, in person, it’s impressive in a way that can’t easily be captured on film. ---

Oh, and when image links don’t work the first time, one trick to try is to stay on the window that’s supposed to have the image, click in the address bar, and then hit enter to load it again (this trick works for that specific image, as well). The website is only showing the image when the referrer for the link is from somewhere on the same site: They want you to be able to see the image on their pages, but they don’t want it visible to people who aren’t seeing their page. Re-entering the address bar makes the referrer that same page, so it works. ---
