Me too.
I’m wrapping up a unit on states of matter with my third graders, and today at the end of a lesson I showed them one of my favorite clips: a riff on Neil deGrasse Tyson answering the question, “What’s the most astounding fact you know?” It’s lovely and mindblowing.

“I am all at once what Christ is, since he was what I am… immortal diamond.” is on Mom’s (well, it will be for three of us eventually) tombstone.
You just had to put that word in my head, didn’t you? You just HAD to!

All kidding aside, making something (especially something difficult) from scratch has a certain beauty to it.
The incomparable Maddy Prior singing Gaudete.
“Tulips” by Sylvia Plath. It’s incredibly sad, but a peaceful, beautiful kind of sadness. I am nobody; I have nothing to do with explosions.
“The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” by T.S. Eliot. I still remember how I felt the first time I read it - just overwhelmed by its . . . perfection.
“Who Knows If The Moon’s” by ee cummings.
“Young Woman Drawing.” Thought to be a self-portrait by the painter.
Joan Baez: “Babe, I’m Gonna Leave You.”
Lastly, this picture was making the rounds a while back: in Egypt, Christians protect praying Muslims.

I just heard “Atlantis” by Donovan for the first time yesterday. I can’t believe I never have. This video is lovely, as well.
Do we have any mathematical beauty here, yet?
