Sorry, I didn’t read the OP clearly enough. As I understand it, the original piece was written to be unsingable by a human voice, and they post processed the movie soundtrack. But clearly there are some great human versions. ---

It seems to me that, no matter how many communications screw ups could have led to a mistake like this, even a single ‘lets run through this one together real quick’ at some point before this moment would have exposed the issue before they were in front on an audience. Some more SRV? Stevie breaking a string mid-song (2:47) and seamlessly swapping out the guitar. Though it’s probably polished up a bit afterwards, it’s essentially live and with very little material they create a total groove. She really is blessed with her vocal.
