Incidentally, one of my favorite cryptic crossword clues I came across once was: Below, below, below. (10) It’s just so elegant, simple, and straightforward. The “how” of it is pretty easy to parse, but the “what” doesn’t immediately spring to mind (at least, it didn’t to me, but I did figure it out with no helper letters after thinking about it for a bit). I’ve actually tried to think of another word that a similar clue would apply to, but haven’t come up with anything. ---

If it’s what I think it is, that’s a bit like clueing SILVER DOLLAR as Money, money, money (6, 6) To me that somehow doesn’t feel very satisfactory, because the subsidiary parts are etymologically the same as in the overall answer. ---
