I admire what the Mods and Admins do, but the accusation of ‘post count padding’ they like to throw arround irritates me and it is rarely true. We don’t post in these threads to get bigger post counts, and how dare you guys acuse us of that. We post there for joviality and fun. ---

Ya know, if the post count thing is such an issue, why don’t the admins just get rid of post counts on the board entirely. It’s easy to do. Jerry the Tech God could probably do it in his sleep. ---

Yeah, this particular accusation, on this and other message boards, always pissed me off. I’m not in a competition to see who has the highest count. (Well, here, that’s obvious) and I always wanted to say “hey, go ahead reset my count to zero!” Of course, there’s just faffing around wasting bandwidth, and I’ll fess up to doing quite a bit of that in my time. ---

Well, we were just basically amusing ourselves. I don’t mind so much when those threads get closed. It’s kinda like when your mom says, “knock it off.” You know you can still get away with some shenanigans, you just have to quit that particular shenanigans. At least until she’s not looking. ---

While that is true, **Lev** , it’s the accusation of post count padding which rankles, mostly because it is so extremely idiotic. A WIZARD SHOULD KNOW BETTER! ---
