# Post Count Question?

In [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=204805) thread in **Comments on Cecil’s Columns** there is a post by a newbie **Mary Jo**. Her post count is 1.

When clicking on her profile you can see she has [three](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/search.php?action=showresults&searchid=820227) posts. The other two are a double post [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?postid=3854227#post3854227). Is it just the hamsters playing up again? Perhaps they need to be put into one of those Skinner Boxes for a while.

Post counts are not always updated, especially when the board hangs when a post is submitted.
