# Post count shows number of posts at the time the post was made?

Hmm.

In another thread I made two posts, after the second post the first was numbered 4349 and the second was numbered 4350. It appeared the board was preserving the number of posts made at the time that particular post was, er, posted. My above tests work as they always have though, both showing total number of posts.

Ah! Third post may make things clearer. Using the quick reply box it seems the post count of the previous posts is not updated.

I think it’s a private display problem and may be specific to my browser (google chrome.) If I make a post and then a subsequent post using quick reply, my post count for the previous post won’t update for me, but anyone else looking at the page will just see the one figure. I also suspect refreshing the page will fix the problem.
