Why? Is it important? I mean, we all know who you are, and have been.

No, not really. We could change the orangecakes name to vanilla, and deactivate vanilla, but we can’t ADD all the post counts from various user names together.

</div>

Okay, what if I became orangecakes again? Could I have my old post count still with me?

You would change names ONCE MORE just to get a higher post count? Again, why?

Actually, I was wondering the opposite. Is it possible for me to keep my user name but reset my post count to zero?

Not that I necessarily want to, mind, but I’m curious.

vanilla, how about this idea?
Create a signature with all your past usernames and post counts.

e.g.

vanillanice - 13 posts + orangecakes 1000 posts + peaches8 xxx posts (etc) = yyyy posts.
Please add this number to my post count to see my true post count.

How does one change one’s username, again? Is it just an email to a moderator?

E-mail to an administrator, not just a moderator. Just don’t do it too often.
And RM, you actually got Answered under that name! Why would you want to switch?
