Joined in late 2001, got a membership sponsored for the first few years of p2p, but then decided I didn’t want to leech off others and would wait until free posting came back. (In all honesty, I was kind of losing hope there for a while, especially when the announcements suddenly disappeared from the tops of the forums… I’m glad I was wrong though.) In the meantime, I did what I now do at SA: lurked, lurked, lurked some more, and every now and then silently swore at my lack of credit card. ---

yay for us moochers who are too cheap to pay $14.99 😃 I joined last march-april as a guest after lurking for about a year and a half or so, but when my membership ended I couldn’t afford to pay the $15 so instead I just kept lurking around most of the time I was on the internet. Nothing like a long-winded discussion about the most random things at the end of the day to make you smile. ---

I was here before it went pay to post, then dropped for a bit, then paid for a year, then dropped. I’ve always been a lurker, though.
