It matters not whether the person in question is a rooster or a hen, living or dead. It only matters that the person be famous and ordinarily considered hot, and that the picture makes him or her look positively ghastly. [I’ll begin with this Vogue magazine cover featuring Anne Hathaway.](http://everydayfacts.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/anne-hathaway-vogue-us-january-2009-cover.jpg)I can only explain the rictus on display here by assuming that Ms. Hathaway once ran over the photo editor’s dog. ---

I don’t think Locklear, McConaughey, or Arnold look \*hideous \*in those shots–just average. Bale, contrariwise, looks like he should be shot as a zombie. ---

Well… I can’t quite agree with this. He looks like and older man with a paunch - and a damn sight better than many men his age. That photo also cuts off his arms, which makes him look even more ungainly. It’s unattractive, but it’s the photo and age and not the man. ---

It’s funny what people consider hideous. Anne Hathaway is made-up in the picture I posted as well, though admittedly I doubt she thought she’d be made to look ready to hold Gotham City hostage. ---
