> [@AuntiePam](#): > > Well, it worked for Guigonnat and Cardamone. 🙂 Alas, That is the only fiction that Guigonnat has written. I have done some research on him, apparently he wrote a book about what appears to be a French soap opera from the '70s. _Dæmon in Lithuania_ is one of the masterpieces of fantastique literature as far as I am concerned. It is like a cross between Edward Gorey, Roald Dahl, & Saki. I wish that Henri hadn’t just disappeared after writing it. Rather mysterious really. ---

> [@infinitii](#): > > 1. Reign in Hell – Keith Giffen I’m annoyed with myself that I’m probably going to wind up buying this trade just for the three or so pages of Zauriel. Stupid completionist mentality… 😉 1. How Beautiful the Ordinary: Twelve Stories of Identity by Michael Cart, et al. 2. Asterios Polyp by David Mazzucchelli 3. Starting Point: 1979-1996 by Hayao Miyazaki 4. Pandemonium by Daryl Gregory 5. Destiny’s Hand Omnibus by Nunzio DeFilippis, Christina Weir, et al. ---

1. Sew U: The Built by Wendy Guide to Making Your Own Wardrobe, Wendy Mullin. 2. The Complete Far Side 1980-1994. 3. Marathoning for Mortals, John Bingham & Jenny Hadfield 4. Slow Cooker Ready & Waiting, Rick Rodgers. I feel like mine are really boring. But I usually only wishlist nonfiction reference titles; fiction books I’m more likely to just get at the library! ---

> [@dangermom](#): > > I want to see what everyone has on their book wishlist. So if you have one at Amazon or wherever, post a few titles. This doesn’t mean that you plan to buy the books; if you’re like me, you use your wishlist to make library requests, too, and to remember neat books you want to read. > > Rules: > > 1. Post 5 random titles. > 2. They must be off the first page of the wishlist (most recent)–I know you all have multiple-page lists. Ideally, post the very top title first. Hmm… \ Ahh, joy! My top 5 are currently _not_ porn, so I can share! 1. [House of Five Leaves, Vol. 1](http://www.amazon.com/House-Five-Leaves-Vol-1/dp/1421532107/) by Natsume Ono (an excellent and highly recommended manga, which may be [previewed free](http://www.sigikki.com/series/houseoffiveleaves/index.shtml) on Viz’s SigIKKI site) 2. [Ristorante Paradiso](http://www.amazon.com/Ristorante-Paradiso-Natsume-Ono/dp/1421532506/) by Natsume Ono (another excellent manga by the same author) 3. [Tokyo Vice: An American Reporter on the Police Beat in Japan](http://www.amazon.com/Tokyo-Vice-American-Reporter-Police/dp/0307378799/) by Jake Adelstein (I read a review that sounded interesting, so am planning to pick it up from the library when they get it) 4. [Takato Yamamoto](http://www.amazon.com/Takato-Yamamoto/dp/4845711702/) by Takato Yamamoto (that one you may not wish to Google, but it’s _fine art_, don’tchaknow, and very pretty too, don’t mind the blood; I really want a copy as soon as I can find one that’s not $95) 5. [Manga Kamishibai: The Art of Japanese Paper Theater](http://www.amazon.com/Manga-Kamishibai-Japanese-Paper-Theater/dp/081095303X/) by Eric P. Nash (another future library read) (First porn pick, if you care: [Liberty Liberty!](http://www.amazon.com/Liberty-Hinako-Takanaga/dp/1427816662/) by Hinako Takanaga - _oo, look, it’s finally in stock!_ \) [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/post-random-titles-from-your-amazon-wishlist/516500.md?page=1)
