# Post vB conversion guests?

I’m sure this has already been asked and answered but I couldn’t find it so here goes. In [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=45890) thread, the poster named **Acksiom** is listed as a “guest”.

Now, I have seen this happen with old names and posts that were here before the conversion from UBB, but this is a new thread and the posts are from just a few days ago. What’s the deal?

Yeah, I was wondering about this too. WAG: Maybe David wanted to use something less “inflammatory” than **BANNED**. That’s not a bad idea, really. I do think that a designation other than “Guest” should be used, though, because it puts a banned poster in the same category as the Flora McFlimseys. Perhaps “unregistered” or something would work.

I like “BANNED” - it’s factual. “IDIOT” would be inflammatory, but usually factual as well. 🙂

That one was an accident. For all practical purposes, it’s been fixed, but unfortunately, the title is left being a little anomolous. Don’t sweat it.
