The Five-seveN is a semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FNH). It’s name is derived from the unique ammunition it uses. FN created the new 5.7x28mm cartridge for its FN P90 personal defense weapon to meet NATO requirements released in 2000. Subsequently FN created the Five-seveN pistol to offer agencies who adopt the P90, which is a side arm chambered for the same cartridge. ---

How to Play Hard Hands: -A hard hand is two starting cards that do not contain an ace. If you have eight or less, always hit. If you have Nine: Double if the dealer has 3 thru 6 - otherwise hit. If you have Ten : Double if the dealer has 2 thru 9 - otherwise hit. If you have Eleven: Double if the dealer has 2 thru 10, Hit if dealer has Ace. If you have 17 - 21: Always Stand. How to Play Soft Hands: - A soft hand is when one of your starting hands contains an ace. BASIC SELF DEFENSE FOR WOMEN 2/27/2008 - The Portland Police Department will be hosting a Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) Training class on April 8, 9, 10 & 12, 2008. R.A.D provides women with the tools they need both to avoid dangerous situations and to escape from them. R.A.D. is specifically designed to help women survive situations in which their lives are in jeopardy. This course is open to all women in the Greater Portland area who would like to develop real life defensive tools and tactics. The Basic Self-Defense Course consists of a series four classes. The class is scheduled for April 8, 9 & 10, three hours each, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and April 12, Saturday morning, 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. All classes must be attended to complete the course. The classes will be held at the Portland Police Department, 109 Middle Street, Portland, Maine.
