Junior high school English teacher: Ms. English Never had her as a teacher, but there was a Ms. Music in our school. Guess what she taught. ---

Does anyone else here get the feeling these may be “stage names”? I really do think some of them are. If a teacher has a last name like Winkledorffenhoffer, they might just create a stage name. Just speculation on my part. ---

Our Assistant Principal of Discipline was named Mr. Krabb. He was a really nice guy, though. Our math department had (probably still has) two teachers of notable nomenclature, one named Charlie Brown, and the other named Schroeder. They were friends, too. ---

Other teachers along the way for me whose names didn’t match as well with their subjects as Ms. English (and Ms. Music) did were: Ms. Skemp – taught Drama but would have been better in Home Ec Mr. Callas – taught math, but would have been good in Phys Ed Mr. Price – taught Physics, but would have been good in Econ (if our school had high school Econ) Ms. Smith – taught Chemistry but would have made a good metal shop teacher Now that I think of it, Coach Chaffin was well named for his job. Other good coach names: Burns, Hurt, Grinder, Payne, Ball, Fields. ---

The girl’s gym teacher at our rival high school was Miss Lust. And man, she looked the part. I still have flashbacks about those thighs… ---

I think that part of the reason my neice never took her step-father’s last name is that I told her that if she did, there would be nothing for it but that she would **have** to become a teacher. Her name would have been **Emma Stern**. ---

In high school an English Teacher named Mrs Grammer. (That’s the way she spelled it). Another English teacher was Mrs. Edison. She should have taught Physics. Had a chemistry teacher named Mr. Quest.
