At first the April Fool’s aspect didn’t occur to me (I read it yesterday)… Then it struck me as odd so I went to the referenced website - and unlike their, um, Lunar Job posting, the site seemed very straightforward and mostly somber.
Then I read this on CNN:
To finance the service, Google will display advertising links tied to the topics discussed within the e-mails. For instance, an e-mail inquiring about an upcoming concert might include an ad from a ticket agency.
OK now, a company as savvy as Google is going to tell its customers that it’s going to have software READ their emails in order to include relevant links?
I call BS.

Ah. It works when I type the link in, but won’t allow me to click through. Regardless, now I’ve seen it - that’s a riot!
Searching on “petsbymail” served up a couple of irate letters sent to pet rescue organizations calling for “Action Needed! Horrible new website!”

The Wizards of the Coast message boards changed their profanity filters to change certain words to sound like Mr. T talking. They also set up a “Most Ignored User” feature that puts in the user’s own name.

NPR had a great hoax this afternoon, and though the web article explains it, it’s still worth a read [here](http://www.npr.org/display_pages/features/feature_1805651.html).
Also, the [messageboard](http://achewood.plagiarist.com) for the off-beat (to say the least) webcomic Achewood has mysteriously shut down today. Accusations of April Fools Day jokes were denied, but of course they’d say that.
