I am using this one, which I took in the Ladybird Johnson Grove at Redwood National Park. [![](https://a4.pbase.com/v3/29/580229/1/46639870.CaliforniaRedwoodWalkwayintotreessmall.jpg) ](https://a4.pbase.com/v3/29/580229/1/46639870.CaliforniaRedwoodWalkwayintotreessmall.jpg) ---

Mine is [pleides\_gendler](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v404/supervenusfreak/personal/pleiades_gendler.jpg) from the [Astronomy Picture of the Day site](http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/). I subscribe to it on Live Journal. ---

My nickname is taken from Alan Dean Foster’s Spellsinger novel series - Clothahump is the Elderly Turtle Wizard. I’m also greatly into geocaching. Therefore SWMBO, who is much more talented than I am, came up with Clothahump Holding A GPS Unit. Currently I have [this.](http://www.leithpetwerks.com/BunFun/BFimages/BunFun021505/rabbit-2.jpg) Before, I had a picture of a cat that said, “Keep your fork - there’s pie!” but my google-fu is failing me at the moment. ---

Right now it’s Escher’s [Convex and Concave.](http://www.sackville.ednet.ns.ca/art/gallery/exhibit/draw/Escher,M.C.-Convex_and_Concave-1955.jpg) Prior to that it was, Snope’s “breast rash.” Be thankful I’m not posting a link. ---

Formerly, I used the large photo of the moon (“radiance” when you set the default desktop) that comes with Windows. But recently I had to reinstall Windows (long story) and found [a picture of me on vacation](http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/6549/vacation0314mx.jpg), taken at the world famous I-80 World’s Largest Truckstop in Iowa, where I purchased one of my most treasured possessions, my Tire Thumper. Kinda fits my current mood lately. ---

[Flying Wishbones](http://www.2112.net/powerwindows/wallpaper/RTBwishbones.jpg) from album art. Except mine was scanned from the actual art, so it only has the original three wishbones. [This](http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=85075413&size=m) is what my desktop looks like right now. The wallpaper is the newest one from [Digital Blasphemy](http://www.digitalblasphemy.com/dbhome.shtml), but it’s a members-only image. I’ve been using [Webshots](http://www.webshots.com/) for years (and before that I used Second Nature – shout out to **Zeldar**!), and have way more wallpaper images than I know what to do with. I love them all. 🙂 ---

[This](http://fishbicycle.dansmith.ca/) is a sunset in Hamilton, Ontario, that I took with a Kodak Instamatic camera, circa 1987. I use it at work as my background. A lot of people have commented on it! ---

I had [this one](http://www.lfexaminer.com/VIR_0080.jpg) on my desktop for a long time after it was taken last February. It’s me in my Nissan 350Z at Virginia International Raceway. Then last summer I switched to [this one](http://www.lfexaminer.com/IMG_5362.JPG), since track pictures in bright sunshine are a dime a dozen, and we run in the rain, too. (Although usually not in this much of a downpour. I pulled into the pits shortly after this shot was taken.) It’s VIR again, last July. And after seeing a show on PBS about the Mandelbrot set a couple of months ago, I found [WinCIG](http://www.th-soft.com/e_wincig.htm) a freeware program that lets you create your own fractal pix, and I made a bunch of wallpapers. [This](http://www.lfexaminer.com/fractal04.bmp) is one of them. ---
