Last year, I used “Lead Farmers” from the Tropic Thunder movie (the scene where Robert Downey, Jr.'s Australian actor who’s deeply in character as a black man opens up with two assault rifles screaming “I’m a lead farmer . . .”
This year, to be topical, I’ve opted for “Erin Andrews’ Mirror.” My team’s abbreviation is “TNA.”

I’ve used “Deflator Mice” for a long time. Silly, in a highbrow sort of way.
In 1994, my team was “The O.J. Simpson Defense Team.”
This year, I might go with “Illinois Indicted Governors.”

Wow, I know that one. It’s in a book of Top 10 lists that’s been next to the toilet at my Dad’s house for about 15 years. Don’t remember what the list actually was, but that’s a \*really \*old one.
Anyway, a few years ago, just after the new Pope took office, a friend of mine named his team the **Vatican Wehrmacht**. It’s a name that only really works if you know that Pope Benedict was in the Hitler Youth, \*and \*that the ‘W’ in “Wehrmacht” sounds like a ‘V.’ I found it hilarious.

Mine is Homietown. Anyone get the reference?
The “Homie” part comes from my nickname, which is a derivative of my last name. The “town” part comes from the movie PCU. There’s a scene where an ultimate frisbee (or frisbee football or something frisbee-related) game is taking place between the stoners and the militant feminists. The name of the stoners’ team is Jerrytown, after Jerry, the captain.
