Think about those couple of facebook friends that can turn any thing anyone posts into something political (and often vile). For example a few months ago I posted a [picture](http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/03/01/article-0-1BF058C000000578-629_634x473.jpg) of Bill Nye, Obama and NdGT. I got a few likes and one person that said “cool picture, too bad that asshole is in the middle”. Know what, coulda just left it alone. (FTR, I deleted the comment). Yes, if I go on Facebook and ask a political question, I know exactly which of my friends are going to trip over themselves to answer first. But it gets old when I mention something about road construction or buying a new car or how much I just spent at the grocery store and those same people are jumping down my throat to tell me why it’s Berry O’s fault. ---

Oh goody, I got mentioned in the Pit. 😃 (If not pitted.) 38,000 posts you write, and repeat yourself you will. Doesn’t bother me a bit. I don’t think any of use should assume other Dopers are hanging on our every word. Plus there are new Dopers all the time. What does bother me is when I open a zombie thread I don’t notice, compose a post in my head, and then find I wrote the exact same post 8 years ago. Talk about your lack of growth. ---

Huh? I’m not sure how this is surprising. You’re talking about prolific posters. So, you’re getting to read a lot of posts from them, and what do you expect them to post about if not things they’re familiar with, have experience about, are interested in, etc…? 😕 Unless we have posters who visited all countries, tried all hobbies, are interested in every single topic from crocheting to fishing methods of Pacific islanders, you can’t expect not to find the same people often discussing the same topics. ---
