It’s not that I can’t stand him but **Starving Artist** does annoy me with his “Try to remember when life was slow and oh, so mellow” viewpoint, “In which decade did I leave my top hat and tails,” and "Nobody took drugs in the U.S. of A., _ever_, before the day after Kennedy’s inauguration\* can wear on you. But he’s a good speller. - I’m para-ggerating. ---

You realise that by putting “Valete, Vox Imperatoris” at the bottom of every post, you are effectively saying “goodbye” once every five or ten minutes? Unless you are going to properly go away, it’s really, really stupid. It’s like having a face-to-face conversation with someone, and saying “over and out” at the end of every sentence. ---

**Carol Stream** , who may be the bloody hero of ATMB on the virtue of me never going there and not being able to tell, is pathologically unable to post anything non-snarky (and frequently plain pissy) in any other forum. **Skald The Rhymer’s** saccharine Evil Overlord schtick was old by the time the original Evil Overlord List got shouted out of the room by geriatrics. He’s obviously aware of it and occasionally uses it to front hilarious posts, but it’s so watered down it wouldn’t stand a chance on the playground. While we’re talking about it, the OP’s end quote always strikes me as particularly pretentious, even on this board. Which is saying a lot. Some people can’t help but qualify their every last bleeding post but with the fact that they’re fat, bi-polar, have aspbergers or high bloody blood pressure. It’s like their brain has to run by a checkpoint to remind them that they’re fat and so they have to post it first, so they don’t get called on it, because the rest of us are obviously judging their posts by a formula based on a multiplier of inverse fucking BMI. Other people never got over the rebellious phase of “calling out” famous literature, movies or other cultural paraphnelia as “overrated.” It was alternative back before you attended college. These days challenging the merits of Shakespeare is about as provocative as claming you don’t watch television. _And get the fuck over being able to speak and read Japanese or Chinese already._ ---
