I’m no longer able to?
Wish I could cite examples I’ve defintely seen of white font and -10 point font. Or are they “those damn brainiacs” who can code circles around some useless luddite like yours truly?

Small fonts are done with \< small \> tags \< /small \> like this tags. **Remove the spaces of course.**

You can go extra small tags like this: \< small\>\< small\> tags\< /small\>\< /small\>

**More tricks:**

# Header sizes type a # sign at the start of the line

## Header sizes type a ## sign at the start of the line

### Header sizes type a ### sign at the start of the line

#### Header sizes type a #### sign at the start of the line

##### Header sizes type a ##### sign at the start of the line

Ok, so what am I doing wrong here?
Thanks!

(to be clear - trying to make “Thanks” small)

The small tag can’t have the spaces I used to show it to you.
I’m going to edit your post removing the spaces.

Ah, Thanks!
Yeah, I sometimes need a second whirl at it. Thanks for the header stuff. Any idea about colour?

In my move I misplaced my cheat sheet.

strikethrough [s]strikethrough[/s]
\< big\> Big\< /big\>
Create a Line 3 \*s or 3 -s

* * *

* * *

We have no colors, we do have some highlights.
\< ins\> insert \< /ins\>
\< del\> ~~Delete~~ \< /del\>

* * *

`underline` underline

Surrounding code with three backticks ` will allow for code to span multiple lines`

```auto
function foo(bar){
    return bar+1;
}
```

Actually strikethrough I somehow already knew.
Darn - didja see my edit, above?

I miss font colors, but then I’m running a game in the Thread Games forum.

It’s not really that simple.

Depending on which theme or device the viewer is using, inserted test will be either green-tinted background or plain colored but **bold**. And deleted text will be either pink-tinted background or plain colored but ~~strikethrough~~.

So do not use \<ins\> and \<del\> as a hack to get a limited color palette; it doesn’t actually do that reliably.

</div>

Well that is disappointing. I’ve been using Discourse Classic. It looks like there are 9 Themes in all.

Do you know which themes have the Bold & Strikethrough?

</div>

Well, crap.

I know I didn’t make that up. I experienced it.

But I just ran through all 9 themes on both my Win10/chrome box and my Android phone. All gave colors; none gave bold / strikethrough.

The light themes are pretty similarly pink-ish and green-ish. The dark themes are a little more varied greens and blues vs maroons and browns.

So I rescind my earlier post and now I need to go find where I learned this. I don’t use any other Discourse-powered boards, so it was either experimentation here, or from documentation.

Sorry to mislead.

</div>

From what I remember, it’s just in certain edit summaries, not in the themes themselves. So I think it’s fine to use in posts.

Honestly, since we’re not going to abuse it, it would probably be good to ask to get a color plugin added, or use theme addons to get color–whichever is possible with our current Discourse package. Of course, this requires an active administration that will be able to get the tech people to do this for us, something we’ve had trouble getting before.

No problem, and wow, thanks for checking that.

Maybe it was something that got fixed along the way.
