In the past (pre-subscription time), whenever there was a new posting to a thread I subscribed too (dual meaning of “subscription;” sorry about that), I would get a link to the new posting. That was fine, and that is usually the case now, but occasionally along with the link I get a copy of the posting in my email, which doesn’t obviate my going to the link because there may be further postings. My question, not of earthshaking importance, is why I sometimes get the posting added to my email? ---

Are you saying that in the email you get the latest post - but not in every email? So you’re receiving some emails with just the link to the thread? FWIW, this isn’t happening to me. Every email I get from the board contains the latest post. Now, some posts may have been made in the meantime, and I won’t get emails about those, but I haven’t received any emails with no post in them. ---

Let me make myself perfectly clear. Every email I get has a link to a new post. However, in addition to that valid link, on a few occasions, the email itself will have the posting in it, w/o the need of my going to the MB. Hey, no big deal. One of the mysteries of life, I guess. ---

No, I undrestood you. I’m just saying it happens all the time with me - I always get the post. I think it’s been happening since the software change. What I don’t get are emails with no posts in them at all.
