# Postings showing up in Google Alerts

I have a Google alert for my web site - this alert sends me e-mail whenever Google finds a new link to my site. The URL for my site is part of my SDMB profile. Recently, my postings to SDMB have started generating Google alerts. This didn’t used to happen. I assume that Google is finding the link in the menu that pops up when one clicks on the button next to my screen name (“Visit Jeff Lichtman’s homepage”).

Has something changed in the past few months that allows Google to find the messages I post (along with the associated URL)?
