I actually flirted with Mark Serlin when he was in Prism02 mode. I was a newbie and didn’t recognize the style yet. I think that takes the shame cake for today. ---

Hey, I was the one who called it a kimono dragon. Boy did the other posters laugh at me! That was the same day as “Ask a stupid question” thread, so I asked a stupid question-- and got laughed at some more. There were other stupid questions in that thread, but people chose to laugh at poor, little ole me. In all honesty I wasn’t embarrassed. I don’t embarrass easily. ---

When I first got here I was involved in some religious debate, wherein I was attempting to explain to someone on my side why some argument the other side used was not, in fact, pure evil, but actually a very thoughtful and helpful thing to say (despite, from our perspective, being incorrect). Obviously my defense of my adversaries was too subtle, as it was generally seen (erroneously but reasonably) as an attack. I’m not ashamed of that post, but I am ashamed at my ever-more heated reactions to the responses. My ultimate goal in life is to never respond to adversity with more vehemence than a sigh, so since then I have enforced the rule that whenever I’m upset by a post, I will write my response, redraft it at least twice, and then wait three hours before submitting it. –Cliffy ---
