# Potato Hole Puncher

Is there a device for any purpose that will enable me to make multiple holes in a potato quickly and relatively safely?
I found something called the “Potato Punch” but it only works on huge potatoes and nothing normal sized.

A paper or plastic straw. Stick your thumb over the end and punch away.

I’m not sure what size hole you want to make in a potato or why, but how about an [apple corer](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_corer#/media/File:Plastic-Apple-Corer.jpg)? I have something smaller but similar for removing the inedible cores of strawberries.

Wouldn’t the spud gub use the potato(e) to make a hole in something else?
Or to make the potato less than whole?

Apparently there are two types of spud guns.
