Perhaps but Donald Trump isn’t who I think of as a master politician and yet millions seem happy to go off a cliff on his command (while he remains someplace else). So maybe Newsom can lead the Democrats? ---

He just expects people to do things for him _anyway,_ and for whatever reason they usually have. Musk is the same way…it seems to be a feature of the modern oligarchy. ---
