in the GQ thread _They’ve got a lock on us.’ Military folk, how does that work?_ (dont know how to link yet) i was treated to a discussion on a topic that i knew very little about, and i learned alot! but it was the discussion itself that really caught my attention. the OP’s question was treated with respect. the answers seemed to come from a place of knowledge. there were follow up questions; likewise answered, and discussed. differences of opinion were tolerated and discussed. all in all a very civilized and informative thread! the reason i came here so many years ago! (i have got to stay out of the bbq pit!) thankyou, thankyou, thankyou mc ---

If you’ve been here years ago, I suggest contacting a mod to see if you can get your old account back. They tend to not like people having multiple accounts–even if the other one is so old that you don’t remember it. At the very least, it won’t put a 2016 on your join date. ---
