I hate the memory and concentration issues. I forget really important things. And so much for my nine-month no-flow stretch. Now I have to start counting all over again.
I’m a vegetarian and had never heard that, so I went searching. I found one study from 1991 that seemed to say that excess cystine in combination with soy contributes to fatty liver disease, but the rest of the information indicates soy has a preventative effect, based on a 2005 study.
I have no idea if that means we should avoid soy or consume it, but I’m going with consuming it just because it tastes good.
I find I have to write notes-to-self on a daily basis. No joke. My purse is full of notes - things to be done on pink paper, things to buy on yellow, newspaper clippings of interest to be shown to other people (yes, I do live in a cave and still get a newspaper and write things on paper, I know there are more modern ways). Point is, one does get forgetful. And for some reason, unless I concentrate, my handwriting has gone to hell - I can’t even read my own scribbles half the time. Whether this is menopause related is questionable, but there it is. Must be all those hot flashes that de-rail my train of thought.
