What with the hue and cry over the quarry meme-to-be, and the mention of other such annoyances in the long history of SDMB, it may be fun to collect as many as we can and have a vote-off for which is the most annoying or insipid or otherwise grating thing we have to contend with as we wander through these threads. Help build a list we can consider for All-time worst catchphrase or whatever. What abuses of good taste and humor do you continue to encounter here? ---

Some of them were funny, the first three or four times they were used: Band name Hi Opal Let’s go to the quarry …but have been destroyed by trite and unoriginal overuse. Others never were funny, [even in their original context](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakov_Smirnoff#Russian_reversal): In Soviet Russia… I’m all for humour, buy try to make it original and therefore witty. That’s not to say that a well-timed, overworked ‘catchphrase’ can indeed work in that context, but it has to be expertly deployed. ---
