Then you could have several rounds of voting, eliminating the lowest vote-getters in each round. ---

I had even entertained the idea of breaking the list into decades or periods so that it might be more of an apples to apples thing. That would let some of the old-timers (30s-50s) be on a level field and not competing against the newer crowd. Other options are still worth considering. Let’s hear some more ideas. ---

Some of these guys were more TV cowboys than movie cowboys, so that may be a division. Chuck Connors and James Arness come to mind immediately, along with Guy Madison and Richard Boone. Nick Adams was another TV star with Johnny Yuma, The Rebel. I think Johnny Cash sang the theme song. ---
