Logistics and impossible time frames donā€™t matter! What matters is, that was bad ass! And sheā€™s super hot! (I was trying to figure out how she possibly had the time and cover to do that, but was distracted by her being hot.) ---

I realize the gas station guy was under the effects of Genesis, but damn, if that guy showed up in front of me, Iā€™d say ā€œThat way, 45 seconds agoā€. :eek: ---

Episode 2 was brilliant, for two basic reasons: 1. More fun and games with the ā€œdie and reappearā€ superpower, following on from the great Sundowner fight. One wonders what theyā€™re doing with all those bodies. 2. You just know - _know_ - that so much of this episode was driven by Sam Catlin going ā€œWait - what if I set it in an Indian casino but the _other_ kind of Indian?ā€ ---

Didnā€™t even realize the season had started up! Caught up on DVR tonight. Assorted thoughts; - Now that Iā€™ve had a chance to read some of the comics, Iā€™m catching the Easter eggs theyā€™ve thrown in, such as the poster of Bill Hicks in Fioreā€™s dressing room, or the treasure chest in the fishtank when Cassidy asks about Jesseā€™s motherā€™s family. - The music choices have been spot-on so far. Never thought Iā€™d hear ā€œCome On Eileenā€ set to a car chase, but it worked. - God damn, the Saint of Killers is menacing. - If you pay attention to the timeline, thereā€™s only about _36 hours_ between when Fiore shows up at the casino and his becoming famous enough to have a TV commercial, a cheering section with matching ponchos, and Make-a-Wish kids visiting him. - Losing Deblanc must have really broken Fiore. I wonder if that black-and-white photo of them in Egypt was supposed to be a wedding portrait? The implication that thereā€™s somewhere angels go when they die is interesting. - Did Cassidy have sex with Fiore at the end of their snowball party? It certainly seemed to be implied when they were talking about foreskins, he gave Cassidy a look, and the timer popped up. - Loved the payoff to the very first bartender Jesse talks to knowing where ā€œGodā€ is. - The Grailā€™s plan to get intel on Jesse was unbelievably convoluted. They would have had to _know_ heā€™d come to New Orleans, ask just the right bartender for a tip about meeting God, and that heā€™d follow up on that tip alone without Cassidy or Tulip on hand so that he could fall for their agent-disguised-as-a-dancer and use Genesis to stop her from being abducted. Itā€™s also kind of odd that the singer told Jesse the _truth_ about the guys who were (supposedly) trying to kidnap her. - Hell must have a pretty inept bureaucracy if they put the innocent kid whoā€™s there by accident in the same cellblock as _Hitler_. - Why does Hitler speak English? ---

I love Noah Taylor in pretty much everything but my reaction to seeing him was ā€œReally? Really??? We are genuinely doing the Hitler thing here?ā€ Still, with this show thereā€™s no telling where theyā€™re going with it. ---
