What I’d _like_ to see would be a sort of Federation Intelligence show. One where a secret agent would roam around the Federation and solve problems, uncover alien and other conspiracies, and so on. But not James Bond in space. I’d lean into the storytelling of how he learns his job and have him fuck up fairly often. Character development and all that. This way it could be very open ended - have the person have been in Starfleet, so you could have shipboard arcs, have them be a “rogue trader” sort for others, and so on. Gives opportunity to flesh out a lot of the Federation worlds and how the people live, as well as the phaser porn everyone likes. Plus a Federation equivalent of Q branch could be fun. ---

We were, the two of us, standing guard on the planet Triacus.Boring assignment, sure, but part of the job. But they never relieved us. The Enterprise left orbit and never came back. Fortunately there was a lot of food and shelter, but if it wasn’t for some random passing trader, we’d probably still be there. We’re considering a lawsuit against the Federation, Starfleet, and Tommy Starnes, and Capt. Kirk specifically, ---
