I like the Great Wall. The one made of galaxies, not the one in China. I got up at about 4:00 am today, just to binoc M42. 🙂 I know, it’s not a galaxy. It’s an emmission nebula. I looked for the dark nebula in Orion, too. (HorseHead) But, I think my fall/winter night vision isn’t trained enough yet. I hate summer observing 'cause of the jumpy skies. But, I do like seeing the Milky Way when I go on jobs out in the middle of nowhere and have to spend the night. where was I? **Lsura** ---

Yeah, that’s nice. I remember when I was in Sweden in February, clear skies, cold nights, the view was amazing, and as the resident astronomer, I ended up pointing out things like the Milky Way, and the planets, and various constellations. Incidentally, did you know that the word “galaxy” is derived from the Greek word meaning milk? **AbbySthrnAccent** ---

What would be cool was if every doper had a little device in the seat of their computer chair which gave them a shock every time they posted. I can just see all these people all over the world in their offices and stuff leaping into the air and saying eeeep! every now and again. I don’t know how the little devices would get there. Maybe Cecil’s minions would break into your house at night and install it in your chair and… **NoClueBoy** next. ---
