Probably? More so if anything given that _killing one obviously awful guy to widespread public acclaim_ is far, far less reprehensible than being a serial killer or spree shooter. Those two aren’t really a good comparison, to be honest. ---

I evidently belong in the “I just realized I am old” thread. Reading the screenshot @Der_Trihs posted … 1. I don’t know what app / site that is a screenshot of. 2. I don’t know what “fic” means. Evidently a noun. 3. I don’t know what “Ao3” is. 4. I don’t know what “Raid Shadow Legends” are 5. I don’t know what “Assassin/Reader” is or how it may relate (or not) to “UnitedHealthCare Assassin”. The latter of which I _think_ is referring to the guy who shot Thompson and has now been arrested. 6. I don’t know what AU refers to in “Harry Potter AU”. FTR I do know what Harry Potter is. 7. I don’t know what “OMEGAVERSE” is. 8. I don’t know what “HOMESTUCK” means or why it would be allcaps. 9. I don’t know who what Dirk Strider is. I know Betty Crocker the fake cookbook maven, but I doubt this is her. So overall, despite understanding most of the words I have exactly zero idea what that person “foone” was talking about or trying to say. Too old; just shoot me. ---

And to be fair, I’m guessing that the vast majority of these are ironically done for laughs. In order: Short for “fan fiction”, “fanfic”, or sometimes “amateur fiction”. "Archive of Our Own, a popular fanfic site. I don’t know what Raid Shadow Legends is, either. I just know people mock it. A story about a relationship between the assassin and the reader. AU means “alternate universe”. “Omegaverse” is a kink setting where humans follow the bad-science “Alpha, Beta, Omega” social hierarchy falsely attributed to wolves. I don’t really know the details as it’s not _my_ kink. Homestuck is some kind of webfiction…thing that was big some years ago, but I never paid attention to so I can’t give details. ---
