We don’t need to attack Trumps “ideas.” They do that all by themselves.

The thing is that we aren’t exactly attacking his looks. We aren’t attacking his nose or his ears or even that he had a weight problem, those would be things he had no control over. But his hair style is entirely under his control. Had he succumbed gracefully to male pattern baldness it would not be an issue. But instead he attempts to retain the coiffure of his youth and fails miserably. Yes, in a life full of bad decisions it is among his weakest, but it is still more relevant than most of the taunts Trump levels at others.

Would it be ok to attack him for tats and body piercings? I’m asking as a person who has no problem attacking Trump for anything, and I expect Trump does the same for everyone else…

> Basic description: This overwhelmingly Republican group holds very conservative attitudes across most issues, including social policy and the size and scope of government. However, they are critical of business and Wall Street. Steadfast Conservatives also express highly negative attitudes toward immigrants and take a skeptical view of U.S. global involvement.
>
> Defining values: Among all typology groups, Staunch Conservatives are the most likely to say they are angry with the federal government. Just 12% favor same-sex marriage and 24% support legal abortion – the lowest shares of any group. Fully 81% of Steadfast Conservatives think that “the growing number of newcomers from other countries threatens traditional American customs and values.” Most think that U.S. efforts to solve global problems usually make things worse and just 39% think free trade agreements are good for the United States, the lowest percentage of any group.
>
> Political attitudes: Steadfast Conservatives are highly engaged in politics: fully 74% say they always or nearly always vote in primary elections. They overwhelmingly supported Mitt Romney in 2012; this year, 88% support the Republican candidate in their congressional district. Steadfast Conservatives have favorable opinions of several possible GOP candidates in 2016, but just 44% have a favorable view of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
>
> Who they are: Nearly nine-in-ten (87%) are non-Hispanic white and 59% are male. **Steadfast Conservatives are the oldest typology group (31% are 65 or older)** and have the highest share of white evangelical Protestants (43%). They are less educated and have lower family incomes than Business Conservatives. Still, 64% of Steadfast Conservatives say “paying the bills is generally not a problem.”

Oh, I’m not at all sure that increased ethnic diversity will be an unmitigated boon for the Democrats.

An increasingly Hispanic nation is likely to be BAD for black Americans, for several reasons. TO the extent that blacks have benefitted fro the largesse of the federal government, that’s partly because a lot of white Americans have been on an extended guilt trip.

When the US is more heavily Hispanic, you think Mexicans, Salvadorans and Dominicans are going to feel any guilt or any sense of obligation toward black Americans? Guess again!

Why? the Democratic progressive wing keeps on raising its head again whenever it thinks it’s safe, only to duck back under the manhole cover before they get it shot off.

This is kind of odious in general, but you are missing a fundamental point: government safety-net programs are not parceled out to specific races. They are for the most part entitlements for anyone who meets the income and family size requirements. And Latinos [support these programs strongly:](http://www.pewhispanic.org/2012/04/04/v-politics-values-and-religion/)

> [@](#):
>
> When it comes to the size of government, Hispanics are more likely than the general public to say they would rather have a bigger government providing more services than a smaller government with fewer services. Some 75% of Hispanics say this, while 19% say they would rather have a smaller government with fewer services. By contrast, just 41% of the general U.S. public say they want a bigger government, while nearly half (48%) say they want a smaller government.

ETA: So whatever we are going to argue about party labels, the bottom line is that the burgeoning Latino population is bad news for the small government crowd.

why does he have to succumb to male pattern baldness ? …

trump is no different than anyone else when it comes to his image … we all, well most of us, wake up in the morning and try to put on our best image for the world to see … that includes your hair … no one likes losing it …

if a woman has hair loss, she doesn’t walk around showing off missing patches of hair on her head or a bald head … she uses a wig usually … because she knows she looks much better with that wig … no different with trump … he knows image is important, especially in his line of work … and he knows he looks better and younger with a rug, real or not … not to mention not every guy can pull off a bald head

Donald’s ridiculous way of dodging male pattern baldness is proof that he’s always been surrounded by Yes Men. And Yes Women. Nobody dares tell him he looks silly.
