Later it will turn out not to be so important. Anna Nicole returns from the dead…just to show everyone she could really do it. ---

Recession President-elect Obama Oil prices stay high - people keep buying SUVs anyway though not quite as many Iraq not as deadly as 2007, but is still bad as violence begins to increase again Housing prices stay weak, but we are nowhere near the end of suburbia The dollar begins to recover Doping and judging controversies at the Olympics ---

Sadly, the ones forecasting economic disaster were pretty on target, but happily, not the ones forecasting ever-rising gas prices. ---
