As far away from the screen as possible, left side of the theater, as close to the isle seat as I can manage. I somehow convinced myself that sitting in the back of a sloping theater lets me see even if a tall inconsiderate person sits in front of me (why is it that even if the theater is 3/4th empty, there’s a tall person just itching to sit in front of a short person?) and it’s a hard habit to break.
I also like sitting about halfway up, aisle seat, either right or left. What I love about the AMC Eisenhower theater that I frequent, is that you can raise the arm that separates the seats. Having a big butt that’s been squeezed into small seats, this feature is a godsend.
Sounds like an IMHO thread.
As for me, anywhere in the middle is okay, but the theatres’ dropping comfort and legroom standards are becoming a nuisance in cramped multiplex theatres. In some case, I’ll deliberately choose an aisle seat just to stretch my legs.
Usually on the side somewhere, but NO ONE behind me. I hate that. Especially when they’re talking or eating popcorn, I hate that. There’s a whole big theatre, why sit right behind someone?
That’s what SHE said!!!
Ba-da-BING!
Thank you! Thank you! I’ll be here all week!
Wow, I guess this thread explains why I never have to fight anybody for the back row…nobody else wants it!
