I put in Becks very reluctantly,but he is one of the most hardworking players in the League altho really overrated. ---

Sami Hyypiä’s been off the boil for most of this season. He was a shoo-in for last season, but I’d question him this season. He has picked up of late, though, I’ll give him that. Antti Niemi is just brilliant. I’ll choose him in goal, definitely. Let me think a bit about who’s going to link up with who going forward… ---

Hard to argue with many of these selections (except for Neville, who is vastly overrated, and Parlour, who works his ass off but is not blessed with a surfeit of natural talent)…and I’m so glad that David “The Most Overrated Keeper Ever” James hasn’t been mentioned… ---

GK:\*\* Carlo Cuducini \*\* LB:\*\* Wayne Bridge\*\* CB:\*\* Gareth Southgate \*\*(one of the most underrated English players of his generation, still solid as ever). CB: **Willem Gallas** (has had a heck of a season) RB: **Tony Hibbert** (to be honest, don’t really know if he’s good enough, but I feel there has to be someone from Everton). LM: \*\*Robert Pires \*\* CM: **Patrick Viera** CM: **Scott Parker** (see reasons for Hibbert, replace Everton with Charlton) RM: **Jermaine Jenas** CF: **Thierry Henry** (automatic choice) CF: **Alan Shearer** (surprised I’m the first to mention him. I hate him too, but can’t deny he’s had a fantastic season). Manager: **Wenger** Bench: Niemi, Giggs, Beattie, Ehiogu, Beckham (just so I could make him warm up for 90 minutes without giving him a game). I bet I’ll think of 11 others as soon as I hit submit.
