[/QUOTE] I was an army recruiter from 2001 to 2005. Yep, it sucked. Remember the scandals they had in recruiting back around spring 2005? Yeah, well, they asked for it, or Bush did by getting us into this BS. Bah, I won’t go into my various complaints on how Recruiting Command sucks ass, but I was seriously thinking of suicide or going AWOL in order to get out recruiting. Not that it mattered since my Blood Pressure was so high back then I’d probably have a stroke if I’d stayed. One sure sign that the War has really affected recruiting is how they’ve lowered the standards for joining. ---

The comment reminds me of a Father Ted episode, in which 3 bishops visit Craggy Island to upgrade a Holy Relic. At the end of the show, 1 bishop departs in a hippie van–dressed in “civvies” & toking on a reefer. (He’d lost his faith after a discussion with Father Dougal.) The 2nd bishop goes out in a casket. (His weak heart gave out after a plumbing incident.) The 3rd bishop limps out, in pain. (In a rage, Father Jack had inserted the Holy Relic “where the sun don’t shine.”) Father Ted turns to Dougal & says “That went well.” ---
