Shorter OP: “Obama is doing _some_ of the bad shit you’d expect a Republican President to do. How can you bring yourself to vote for him?” My answer: his Republican opponent would do _almost all_ the bad shit I’d expect a Republican President to do. Plus some other bad shit that would likely take me by surprise. And _none_ of the good stuff I’d hope a Democrat would do. Meanwhile, Obama’s doing _some_ of the bad shit I’d expect a Republican President to do, and doing (or trying to do) _some_ of the good stuff I’d hope a Democrat would do. I think that scores pretty easily. ---

It quite literally is black and white in every sense of the word. As bad as Obama may be, the Republicans have done everything they can to assure us they will be worse. It would take the Democratic nominee in 2016 to openly praise Stalin and Castro for their well-run governments for me to consider voting for the Republican, and even then I’d have to think about it. It’s a race to the fucking bottom, and all most of us can do is try to put the brakes on. ---
