No one chose Joe in a Primary this time. Effectively, no one was running against him. Besides, like **Loach** mentioned, there are states where our Primary vote never matters, so the entire system is actually messed up. ---

Obama ran against McCain and Romney, who, despite having abhorrent personal and political views, were still decent people who refused to condone racist attacks on him.
