Holy crap, did you see Chris Matthews take apart this guest about this today? I don’t know who he was but as soon as he got on he started in on Obama. Chris simply asked him what Neville Chamberlain did and the schmuck didn’t even know! Priceless! ---

What Bush said could apply to most of the left, not just Obama. And Obama looks bad by making a mountain out of a molehill with his macho, chest-beating reaction. If Obama took it personally, Bush hit a nerve. But my speculation is that Obama bit at this to overshadow the “sweetie” remark. ---

Bullshit. It was clearly directed at Obama, even if his name wasn’t mentioned, and the White House even admitted after the fact that Bush was talking about him. Not talking to your enemies is just plain idiotic. ---

Bush was talking about the Democratic party and electing the person they are going to nominate. That’s obviously Obama. Anything else is disingenuous. But obviously he’s casting a wider net and referring to all Democrats running for office. ---

[/QUOTE] From this, I don’t think it is clear that the US kept its part of the agreement… Or are you talking about the NPT… Ahhhh… But sovereign states can withdraw from treaties. They announced their intention to withdraw from the NPT just like we withdrew from the ABM treaty. Clinton signed the agreed framework with them to stop them from building nukes. Bush let them build nukes and did nothing to stop them. Maybe the agreed framework was bad idea for our country in that it was appeasement of a rogue state, but it did keep one less nuclear power in the world. Now the genie is out of the bottle and our problems with this country are 100 times more serious IMHO, YMMV. ---
