Honestly, I’m not expecting anything all that dramatic. Lots of bluster and shifting the blame, no meaningful solution to the shutdown. He could do something useful like announce his resignation but I wouldn’t bet money on that. ---

I’m guessing a national emergency declaration as much as I am strenuously hoping he doesn’t fuck try to fuck DOD like that. To be followed almost immediately by a stampede of lawyers rushing to file the court challenge to the declaration. ---

He’s going to announce that due to his very, very awesome leadership. The Greatest Presidency in the History of the Universe, the Galactic Federation has asked us to join them, but he turned them down since they are free-loading socialists. He will though allow the Romulans to join 'merica if they promise to pay their way, learn English and use orange spray tan so they don’t look too brown. They should also put 134 billion dollars into a Swiss bank account opened by one “John Barron.” ---

In the spirit of his recent curtailment of congressional flying, Trump will announce the closure of various amenities geared towards Congress (any and all authority at his disposal - no matter how petty - will be considered) and that he is demanding that leaders get in the same room as him and not come out until they have a deal. His major announcement is that he is at the White House ready to make a deal, and that congress won’t be (given free ice cream / provided a federal security detail / allowed to visit any overseas military or diplomatic posts) until they get one signed. ---

Since he can’t be trusted at all, nothing he offers can serve as the basis of any deal since he won’t hold up his end of any bargain.
