20 years ago or so, there was a Dopestock of the AOL SD staffers in Denver. Either on arrival or departure my flights sorta crossed paths with the POTUS. I saw Air Force One parked on the tarmac and nearby was a C-141. The cargo plane took me by surprise until I thought about it. A POTUS needs his armored limo and there’s probably at least 3 armored and specially equipped chase cars for the Secret Service. Well, I looked it up and the last C-141C was retired in 2006. So, what do they use now, a C-5 Galaxy? ---

Nowadays typically it’s two C-17s for all the people and paraphernalia. If two C-17s show up at your local airline airport, it’s a good bet the Prez is gonna show up nearby in 12-24 hours whether that’s been announced or not.
